Second Mile has earned HubSpot's Media and Telecom Industry Specialist badge, an organization-level credential HubSpot awards to Solutions Partners that show deep knowledge of a single industry. For fiber, broadband, and other connectivity providers, it means HubSpot has recognized that Second Mile understands their systems, their language, and the problems that come with selling service by address.
Plenty of HubSpot partners can configure a portal. Fewer can explain why a fiber provider's CRM needs an address object before it needs a contact, or why the billing system ends up standing in for the CRM when nobody connects the two.
HubSpot's award letter put the reason for the badge plainly. It pointed to our record of industry-specific builds, integrations, and use cases, and to "speaking the language" of the industry and understanding its pain points. That is the work we have built the company around, and it is good to have HubSpot's name behind it.
What is the HubSpot Media and Telecom Industry Specialist badge?

The Media and Telecom Industry Specialist badge is one of HubSpot's Industry Specialization Badges, which recognize partner organizations for specialized expertise, proven customer experience, and a dedicated go-to-market focus on one industry. HubSpot awards the badge to the company, not to an individual, and each partner can hold no more than three industry badges, so a badge shows where a partner has chosen to focus rather than every industry it has ever touched.
The badge appears on a partner's listing in the HubSpot Solutions Directory, and HubSpot uses it to improve that partner's ranking in industry-specific searches. When a provider looks for help in the directory, the badge is one of the first signals they see. You can find it on Second Mile's directory listing.
What HubSpot looks for in an industry specialist

HubSpot's published criteria ask a partner to demonstrate deep industry knowledge in three areas:
- Purpose-built systems and integrations for that industry
- A clear understanding of the industry's pain points and language
- The use cases that matter most to customers in it
A partner cannot add the badge to its own listing. HubSpot reviews the evidence and makes the award, which is what gives the badge its weight with a buyer who has never heard of the partner before.
A HubSpot partner for an ISP should start the first meeting at the sector object and the serviceability data, and the rest of the call should run in the provider's words.
Why the badge matters to fiber and broadband providers
If you lead marketing, sales, or operations at a fiber or broadband provider, you have probably sat through a vendor call where the first hour went to explaining what a passing is. The objection we hear most from providers is a fair one: they are not sure an agency will understand their billing system.
The badge is a third-party answer to that question, and it comes from HubSpot rather than from us. It also gives you something to put in front of a CFO or an owner who was not on the call, which matters when the decision has to be sold internally before anything gets built.
Where HubSpot setups break for connectivity providers

Conceptual architecture. Data ownership and sync direction depend on the provider’s systems.
Most of the HubSpot portals we audit for providers share the same pattern. The portal was set up the way HubSpot works for a software company, with the contact at the center, and then the business had to bend around it. Contacts move, and addresses do not. A CRM that cannot report at the address level cannot tie marketing spend to take rate, and that is the number leadership asks about first.
We walk into an ISP engagement already knowing which architecture decisions hold the whole system up:
- Address-specific custom objects, with sector groupings so addresses roll up the way the network is built
- The data handoffs between HubSpot and the billing platform, OSS, and BSS
- Where customer service contacts live once a prospect becomes a subscriber
Our team has worked alongside the systems providers run on, including Calix, NISC, Sonar, CrowdFiber, and VETRO, and the list grows with every engagement.
Some of the work behind the badge
A badge formalizes work that already exists. Two fiber engagements show what that work looks like in practice.
"Every fiber engagement teaches us something about which decisions hold a provider's system together, and we bring that into the next one, so we already carry deep industry knowledge and are able to hold a seat at the strategy table for our clients. Having HubSpot's vote of confidence with the Media and Telecom Industry Specialist badge further proves our ability to create outcomes for this industry."
Dobson Fiber
Dobson Fiber needed a CRM and marketing system that understood serviceability. Second Mile architected Operations Hub, Content Hub, and Marketing Hub around a custom Passings object for address-level serviceability, with a Salesforce to HubSpot sync for zone IDs and service area data and order status syncing into the CRM.
In the first six months, Dobson Fiber increased leads 82% and improved its lead-to-customer rate 499%, with 100% team adoption and a 37.5% smaller tech stack. In a later ecommerce and campaigns phase, Dobson's team set a record of 106 orders in a single day, against a previous record of 56.
"Yesterday was a record ecommerce sales day here thanks to our workflows, HubSpot, and your work."

ALLO Fiber
ALLO Fiber moved from Salesforce Marketing Cloud to HubSpot, with transactional email live before Marketing Cloud was decommissioned in May 2026. ALLO's own developers built the buy flow, and Second Mile architected the HubSpot foundation it runs on: custom objects for addresses and product bundles, a live serviceability lookup, and every order landing in the CRM in near real time.
Since go-live, ALLO grew monthly online orders 27% between the buy flow's first and third full month, and 59% of orders now complete fully self-serve, with no agent involved. Digital attribution is up sevenfold, with 28 of every 100 new contacts now carrying full web attribution.
"Second Mile gets five stars from me just because you taught us along the way."

What the badge means if you are choosing a HubSpot partner

Two excerpts from Second Mile’s live HubSpot Solutions Directory profile, captured October 15, 2026.
A badge does not make a migration simple or promise a result. What it tells you is that HubSpot has seen enough of a partner's work in your industry to say so publicly. Use it to shorten your list, then ask every partner on that list three things: which billing platform they have connected to HubSpot, which provider will take a reference call, and how they train the people who will use the system every day.
Second Mile is a HubSpot Platinum Solutions Partner with a 4.9 average rating on the HubSpot Marketplace. We are also a Calix partner and a member of the Fiber Broadband Association and NTCA, and we have spent a decade as an agency building the method we use on every engagement: Map, Build, Optimize, Adopt, looping throughout to continuously improve.
