AI transparency and responsible use
How Second Mile uses AI, reviews client-facing work, handles client information, and accommodates client restrictions.
How we use AI
Second Mile uses AI across research, strategy, writing, design, development, analysis, meeting documentation, and automation. AI is part of our working process. Our team remains responsible for the work we deliver.
Human oversight
Client-facing work requires human review and approval before delivery or publication. We may automate internal tasks within defined workflows. Any client-facing autonomous system would have its scope, permissions, and oversight agreed with the client before deployment.
Client information
We use centrally managed business accounts for tools including ChatGPT and Claude, configured so our inputs and outputs are not used to train their general-purpose models.
Before using AI in work involving particularly sensitive information, we agree on appropriate handling requirements with the client. Where necessary, we can evaluate a separately scoped, isolated environment.
Our privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information. Client-specific data processing is also governed by our agreement with the client and its instructions.
Disclosure and client choice
We do not provide a separate notice for every routine use of AI assistance. We provide specific disclosure when people interact directly with an AI system, when synthetic media could materially mislead, or when a proposed use introduces material data-handling or automated-decision implications.
Clients may request restrictions on AI use. We will discuss those requirements and any effects on scope, cost, or delivery timelines before agreeing to them.
